My project on the Po River Delta was selected by the Malerba Fund for Photography, and exhibited in the halls of the foundation in Milan in September.
Il mio progetto sul Delta del fiume Po, è stato selezionato dal Fondo Malerba per la Fotografia, e pubblicato nell’archivio online dei fotografi italiani. Le foto verranno esposte nelle sale della fondazione, a Milano in settembre.
I silenzi del mare e dei pescatori, la magia della nebbia e della sua immensità che ci circonda. Una settimana autunnale priva di sole, e ricca di fascino, mi ha permesso di vivere questa esperienza silenziosa sulle rive del Delta del Po. In luoghi come la Valle di Gorino e la Sacca degli Scardovari si ha l'impressione che il tempo si sia fermato, e non abbia nessuna intenzione di ripartire. Qui l'uomo, che deve affrontare frequenti inondazioni, vive della pesca e dell'allevamento delle cozze.
The silences of the sea and the fishermen, the magic of the fog and its immensity that surrounds us. A autumn week devoid of sunshine, and full of charm, allowed me to live this experience silent on the banks of the Po Delta. In places like the Gorino Valley and the Sacca degli Scardovari one gets the impression that time has stopped, and has no intention of starting again. Here man, who has to face frequent floods, lives off fishing and mussel farming.
